In my years of experience in marketing, there have been numerous productivity apps on the market – some more useful than others, but each one with its own purpose.
That said, there is a library’s worth of articles on the Internet that will tell you the ‘latest and best apps for marketers’. I should know – I have read most of them. While some of these articles have led me to download the best apps that I use today, I have been able to filter them into a list of must-have and good-to-have apps – every other app is mediocre, in comparison.
Other than the obvious Facebook, Twitter and Instagram apps that we have come to know and love, there are others that will assist in increasing productivity in their own ways.
Here are my top picks for a marketer’s must-have apps.
‘Pocket’ your favorite articles to read them later, save for reference or share them with your social networks.
Hootsuite is accessible on desktop, iOS and Android. You can set up specific push notifications, too, so you won’t miss follower engagement while you’re away from the office.
Flipboard and Feedly are available on desktop, iOS and Android.
You can easily organize your tasks in groups, or have a running list of major tasks that you need to do. Once complete, delete them from your list – but tasks are archived, should you need to reference it again. Wunderlist offers three core products – Wunderlist, Wunderlist Pro and Wunderlist for Business – for iOS, OS X, Android, Windows Phone, Windows Desktop and the web.
